Luke recorded much of the life and work of Jesus in his Gospel account, and he told the story of the early church in his book of Acts. His experience as a doctor gave him an interest in detail which enriches the accounts of many of the healings Jesus performed. This service celebrates Luke as a writer, as it traces the different kinds of story which he records. Different parts of the Gospel are represented by different coloured boxes. Readings and explanations are taken from the boxes and the healing miracles provide opportunity for simple drama.
