This Harvest Festival service uses cut-outs of large fruits. It takes the Body imagery used by St Paul in 1 Corinthians to say that all are needed, all have a part to play, and one cannot dismiss the other as useless. This image is used to celebrate the variety and diversity intended and planned by God in creation.
The gift of life itself, with its variety of skills and gifts is also celebrated.
According to where you place the emphasis in the service, it can be used as a Harvest Festival, but it could also be easily adapted to use in a service which simply takes the theme of Variety of Gifts.
