Sukkoth, the Feast of Tabernacles (or "Booths" or "Shelters") is a Festival with which Jesus was familiar. This colourful and dramatic service uses the symbolism of this Jewish Festival by the building of a temporary Sukkah (Shelter) at the front of church, and by the waving of the "Lulav". Thanksgiving for earth, air, fire and water are linked to the thanksgiving for harvest. The symbolism extends challenging us to offer ourselves in response to God's love and faithfulness to us.
