This non-eucharistic All Age Service of the Word explores the nature of secular kingship, and contrasts it with the Kingship which belongs to Jesus by comparing the events of Holy Week with aspects of secular kingship. An enactment of the first Palm Sunday takes place during the course of the service rather than at the beginning.
As well as the usual text of the service there is an audio file of a cock-crow! Visual impact comes from objects which symbolise the two styles of kingship.
