All Age Plus is run by Betty Pedley and John Muir, to provide resources for All Age Worship.
Betty and John started working together in 1988, when John was Vicar of Sowerby Parish in the Wakefield Diocese, and Betty was the Parish Deacon. Betty left Sowerby in 1992 to become the Wakefield Diocesan Parish Education Adviser, but we continued to co-operate, especially in developing All Age Worship.
This culminated in our writing "Children in the Church?", which was published in 1997 by the National Society and Church House Publishing. We then wrote "Come and Join the Celebration" to support the introduction of Common Worship, and this was published in 2001. We were regular contributors to "Together With Children" magazine.
John is now officially retired, but is on the staff of Halifax Parish Church, with a responsibility for All Age worship. Betty was priested in 2003 and she moved from her diocesan post to being Priest in charge of 2 parishes. She developed All Age worship in one of those parishes, St Luke's Norland. Betty retired in August 2008 but she is still running All Age Crafts and is involved in an Under 5's project which is attached to a church in Bradford.
